Door de jaren heen heb ik ontelbaar veel studies en schetsen gemaakt: van mijn tijd op de kunstacademie in Utrecht HKU tot nu. Van snelle lijnen tot meer uitgewerkte studies, zwart-wit en in kleur. Werk dat ik heb willen houden, sommige wel 35 jaar lang. Deze losse werken op papier vormen een unieke collectie die ik nu in delen aanbied in Art Sketch Mystery Packs.
Periodiek en onregelmatig breng ik een nieuwe serie pakketten uit. Je weet niet wat je krijgt, maar je weet wel dat het origineel werk is, uniek en met zorg geselecteerd. Jij kiest het aantal schetsen, en ontvangt een selectie originele werken voor een speciale lage prijs.
Een ideale manier om kennis te maken met originele kunst, of voor verzamelaars die hun collectie willen uitbreiden. Elke serie zal een beperkte oplage hebben, dus wees er snel bij.
De start zal een serie zijn van mijn eerste modelschetsen die ik maakte op de kunstacademie in Utrecht, HKU, 1992-1995
Deze schetsen maakte ik in houtskool en conté op studiepapier. Vrijwel allemaal rond de 50×70 en 70×90 cm. De tekeningen hebben de bijna 30 jaar niet helemaal zonder schade overleeft, als student was ik toch vrij makkelijk, en ook de opslag verliep niet altijd vlekkeloos 😉 Maar dat is alleen te zien aan de randen.
Het zijn vrije, losse schetsen waarin je mijn manier van kijken, tekenen, weglaten, duidelijke lijnen en vormen, al kan herkennen.

Je ontvangt in het pakket een kaartje waarop (zo mogelijk) meer informatie staat, zoals wanneer en waar de schetsen door mij zijn gemaakt.
Hoe worden de schetsen verzonden?
Kleine pakketten in stevige enveloppen, grote schetsen opgerold in tubes.

Art Sketch Mystery Pack
Over the years, I’ve created countless studies and sketches: from my time at the HKU art school in Utrecht to the present day. From quick, spontaneous lines to detailed observations, in black and white or colour, in charcoal, graphite, ink or paint.These individual works on paper form a unique collection which I am now offering in parts as limited-edition Art Sketch Mystery Packs.
From time to time, I release a new series of packs. You won’t know what you’re getting, but you can be sure it’s all originals, unique and carefully selected. You choose the size and the number of sketches, and you’ll receive a selection of original works at a very low price.
An ideal way to discover original art, or for collectors looking to expand their collection. Each series will be available in a limited edition, so be quick.
The launch!
I’ll begin with a series of my earliest model sketches, which I produced at the art academy in Utrecht, HKU, between 1992 and 1995. I created these sketches in charcoal and conté on drawing paper. Almost all of them measure around 50×70 and 70×90 cm. The drawings haven’t survived the past 30 years entirely unscathed; as a student, I was rather careless, and the storage conditions weren’t always ideal either. But that’s only visible at the edges.
They are free, loose sketches in which you can already recognise my way of looking, drawing, omitting details, and using clear lines and shapes.

Can I return (sketches from) the pack?
You buy a surprise, so the sketches from the packages are yours to keep. No returns, just joy!
How can I find out more about the sketches?
You’ll receive a card in the pack stating (where possible) with some background informtation like when and where I created the sketches.
How are the sketches sent?
Small packages in sturdy envelopes; large sketches rolled up in tubes.
Can I send a package as a gift?
Yes, just let me know when you place your order. I’ll include a personal message.
Can I buy more than one package?
